Edwin has fifteen years’ experience of the global asset management industry have been senior in-house counsel for several investment management firms in the UK before returning to private practice in 2015. He advises financial institutions on the formation and distribution of investment funds (domiciled in both the US and Europe) with an emphasis on those employing alternative strategies. Additionally, he has formed numerous mutual funds and UCITS, including arranging for their passporting throughout the European Union. He also counsels investment advisors on compliance with regulatory developments and their interaction with domestic and overseas financial regulators. 

Furthermore, Edwin performs due diligence for institutions (such as pension funds) on their third party investments as well as negotiating investment terms and participation in co-investments on their behalf. Previously, he has represented a number of investors on LP Advisory Committees and acted as independent counsel to a number of mutual fund boards.
